Pratik Gandhi who recently won accolades for his Gujarati web-series Vitthal Teedi opened up about the bond he shared with his father
Pratik Gandhi rose to fame with his spectacular performance in Scam 1992. He won accolades from all corners and became a known face amidst the audience. After Scam 1992, his Gujarati web-series of OHO Gujarati titled Vitthal Teedi is making a huge buzz. While the show is all about gambling, it also touches upon the relationship shared by a father and son. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Manish Batavia for SpotboyE, Pratik Gandhi spoke about the bond he shared with his father. Sadly, before the release of Scam 1992, his father breathed his last.
In the interview, Pratik revealed that his father was his biggest encouragement and he never said no to anything. "My father was my closest friend. He always had this child-like curiosity about everything and anything that I did. He encouraged me to do everything that I wanted to do. When I was in school, in 4th or 5th standard, martial arts was very new and I was mad about it. I said I wanted to do. He never said no to anything. He always told me that whatever you want to do, take it to a level where you decide that you want to make this a part of your life," said Pratik.
He also revealed that Scam 1992 was the last project that he discussed with his father. "Dad aise the ki kehte the ki yaar tu yeh sab chod de, job-vob chod de, sirf acting kar. And I was like ki aise nahi hota, pehle Bombay mein settle hojate hain and fir risk wala mamla haath mein lete hain. So my relationship with my father was - I don't know I can't put it in words. I miss him too much. Scam was the last project I discussed with him, then I lost him before the Scam released. So yeh jo ek bada life changing project tha meri life ka wohi unho ne nahi dekha. (Dad was like leave everything and focus only on acting. Instead I used to say that one needs to settle down in Mumbai and then take risks. So my relationship with my father was - I don't know I can't put it in words. I miss him too much. Scam was the last project I discussed with him, then I lost him before the Scam released. He could not see the biggest, life changing project)." (Also Read: Vitthal Teedi Review: Post Scam 1992 Pratik Gandhi Returns Full Force In His Native Tongue)
